How SMS Consent Is Collected

FirstImpact Med collects SMS consent separately and voluntarily through online intake or telephone intake. Declining SMS does not prevent a patient from receiving care, continuing intake, using the patient portal, creating an account, or completing a transaction.

Online intake

Patients begin at https://app.firstimpactmed.com. After sending their initial intake message, they are shown a contact-information form containing a separate SMS checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default.

The checkbox disclosure states:

FirstImpact Med case texts (optional). Secure links and updates. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Not required for care or service.

The form links directly to the FirstImpact Med Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Patients who leave the checkbox unchecked can still submit their contact information and continue intake.

Telephone intake

Patients may also begin intake by calling FirstImpact Med at (888) 502-3717. Before sending any SMS, the intake assistant separately asks:

I can send a secure link and low-volume FirstImpact Med case alerts by text. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not required to receive care, use the portal, create an account, or complete a transaction. Would you like to receive these texts?

Only an affirmative “yes” is recorded as consent. If the patient says no, the intake is still saved and completed, no SMS is sent, and the patient may continue through the FirstImpact Med portal or contact the support team.

FirstImpact Med retains the mobile number, consent timestamp, consent source, disclosure version, and telephone call identifier when applicable. Patients may reply STOP to opt out at any time.

SMS Messaging Privacy

FirstImpact Med sends SMS messages only after you separately and voluntarily opt in. These messages may include secure intake or account links and low-volume notifications or reminders related to your case, onboarding, agreements, payments, or care-related status.

Consent to receive SMS messages is optional and is not required to receive care, use our services or patient portal, create an account, or complete a transaction. Message frequency varies based on case activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be disclosed to service providers only as necessary to operate and support our messaging program, or when required by law. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
